In the mid 1980’s, the flourishing economy gave space to every new comer in the watchmaking industry. Everything at that time was perfectly in place for the gradual evolution of a bubble that burst later on. During the starting years of the story, the bubble began to inflate at a very Fast speed. In that era, price was no longer an issue. The brands without any knowledge of watchmaking made there way to make higher profits. The brands either fashion or watchmaking sold their products without any regard to the reality of the object.
A large amount of capital then provided by the fashion brands to enter the industry. The big Global fashion brands began to enter in a new product and that was wrist watch. In this new bubble effect, the old and relatively traditional watchmakers were affected from design to production and marketing to distribution.
